Greg Carron

Greg Carron, also known under the alias “@pixeladdikt” has been following the Android mobile scene since mid-2007 with the announcement of the Open Hand Alliance and whispers of Google’s Open Source OS. Diving head first into several communities that foster creativity & helping others including Android application development as well as firmware modding.

Greg has proven to be a wealth of knowledge and guidance to those around him. Using Twitter as the default social network allowed Greg to grow and learn at an exponential pace and develop maturely as a multimedia developer moving into this emerging mobile industry.

It wasn’t until he offered to help re-design the AndroidGuys 2 application with Matthew Patience that it seemed possible to be a part of a small local app development team. His first project was Twitoc – a widget based voice recognition app that posts your translated speech into “tweets” on your timeline.

He’s been profiled on AndroidGuys, AndroidandMe, Androinica and other prominent Android blogs. Developing under the newly formed app development team “Mobicartel” with Patience, they have since released Facetoc – the second app in the series focused on posting status updates to Facebook. Currently, he’s working on several Android projects including DroidShark video app/game reviews, developing his own 2.2 custom firmware (r0madd1ktion) and continuously working on several apps in the pipeline both internal and for clients.

Greg is currently featured on Android After Dark, every Tuesday evening 7PM Pacific, 10PM Eastern.

You can reach Greg on Twitter and via email.
